In accordance with provincial law and out of concern for our client’s welfare, we will not disclose your presence in treatment without your written consent. Andy’s House complies with all Provincial Confidentiality Standards. Our facility is discrete and has no outside signage.

Upon arriving at the scheduled intake time, there will be 3 assessments which take approximately 1 hour.  The NiD-Ep assessment determines whether medical attention is required and if it is, we bring the client to the doctor for withdrawal symptoms and reduce the risk of any medical emergencies.

Andy’s House offer 3 core program to meet most clients’ needs.

1. 90-Day Residential Program: Our immersive program is designed for individuals struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders. It includes detox support, a 90-day residential treatment program, 2 years of aftercare, weekly family support groups, and access to a professional team of experts.

2. 35-Day Residential Plus (IOP): This intensive program combines 35 days of residential care followed by an intensive outpatient component. It provides detox support, a 35-day stabilization residential program, a 16-week intensive outpatient program, random drug/alcohol testing, and family/conjoint sessions.

3. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): For those who don’t require 24-hour supervision, this program offers evidence-based treatment following the Matrix Model. It includes weekly random drug/alcohol testing and family/conjoint sessions.

Everything is included in the cost for all programs with the exception of personal items, medications and non-program related items.

After completing your initial week you will have nightly family phone calls 5 nights a week.  There are no calls on Sunday or Wednesday evenings because of family visits and the family support group.

The focus is entirely on recovery and personal growth, so work is not permitted during the stay.

The facility offers a gym containing free weights, benches, cardio equipment and resistance bands. Physical fitness is integrated into our regular program and occurs three times a week. Andy’s House believes that regular exercise is an integral part of recovery so we encourage our residents to make use of the gym during free time as well.

Yes, residents can receive mail. There are weekly family visits every Sunday at the house.

Yes. We offer a weekly family support group for your family and loved ones. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend the groups for as long as they like.

Following the in-patient portion of your treatment, Andy’s House offers a two-year aftercare program which involves weekly meetings and ongoing support for the client and their family. This additional support is only offered with the 90-day program.

Our Open door policy is a privilege to our residents of the 90-day program, for as long as they remain in our program of recovery: Residents are welcome to come to the house anytime during the day, without an appointment, to attend groups, participate in house activities, speak with their counsellor and encourage the newcomers.

While we do not accept clients who are taking methadone or suboxone, we can help arrange for a medical detox from these substances prior to coming to Andy’s House.

If your case is in Montreal, we will assign a chaperon to accompany you. If legal assistance is needed, we have legal counsel that can assist (not included in the price of treatment).

Research has shown “unequivocally that good outcomes are contingent on adequate treatment length. Generally, for residential or outpatient treatment, participation for less than 90 days is of limited effectiveness,..”

The minimum stay for the residential program depends on the program a person is enrolled in. The minimum required stay would be 35 days for the 35-day program and 90 days for the 90-day program.  While we cannot force any person to stay, the treatment would be considered incomplete.
