My experience with the staff at Andy’s House was very helpful and healing. I learned a lot about my character during my three month stay. The counselors taught me how to cope with getting sober and remaining sober. There were some amazing group activities like art therapy, yoga and going to the gym. I had daily discussions with my counselor to help me find solutions for staying on a sober path. They introduced me to the twelve step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and coached me on finding the right sponsor and connecting with new sober friends to help me through the difficult transition.
I have made so many new friends since leaving treatment and have reconnected with my family. My focus now is to give back and help others.
